My main focus for this paper, regarding the McDonald's community, is whether this popular fast food chain is to blame for the ever increasing obesity rate and unhealthy lifestyles that Americans are choosing these days. So, I am observing the typical McDonald's patron: How old are they? What is the typical meal they get there, salads or Big Macs? Is there a pattern with overweight people frequenting this place more than those that appear to be healthy and fit?
This is the overall direction that I want my research to go in. I will be interviewing a couple of different 'types' of people to directly answer my questions and then use that with a combination my research and observations to come to a conclusion. By 'types' of people, I mean someone who is in there early twenties and appears slim and fit, maybe a middle aged mom and then someone who is in their fifties or older. I think the varying perspectives a more than one interview will be beneficial to my research.

Fascinating topic/focus! I think there's a ton of possible outside sources to assist you in answering this question, and your plan to combine your research with interviews of different "types" of people is the perfect approach to answering this question. I wonder if you will find patterns or not from your observations and interviews...looking forward to reading what you find!!
