Essay 3 Proposal

I believe that the driving age for adolescents should be pushed back from 16 to 18. I am sure that many do not agree with me on this , especially teenagers, but it is a subject that for the last few years I have felt should be 're-evaluated'. I think that I have vaild evidence and experience (with only being 23 years old myself) and could argue both sides of this topic but still pursuade the public to at least consider my personal point of view. This isn't a subject that is addressed all to often, like the drinking age, but I think that it should be a priority. Kids, as young as 14 years old, are able to start drivers training and I find this a but scary. I really think that teenagers are given their licenses too soon. Statistics alone show that the majority of automobile accidents occur at the hands of young drivers and I can attest to that from personal experience. I believe that being able to operate a vehicle is a huge responsibility that many teenagers take for granted. Especially when they can endager themselves and others on the road.

Sounds like a great start to an essay. I agree with your points so far, and I think that your experiences, combined with some statistics, would be an effective approach to making this argument.
